Someone out there needs your leadership

Connection

Our initial motivation for connecting with others is sometimes selfish. You need something and you go seeking it: support, information, contacts. And that’s just fine. It’s good to reach out and ask for help.

But sometimes an even greater thing happens. You’re seeking some sort of input or assistance and you end up giving it instead. You connect with someone and find that, in that moment, they need you more than you need them.

In your interactions with people, be open to both directions. Be ready to flip that switch and take on the leadership role.

When you receive, you improve in a specific way. When you give, you grow in immeasurable ways.
